Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) is Japan’s most international university with nearly 50% of its students and faculty coming from outside Japan. Unlike most Japanese universities, students may gain admission on an English basis without previous Japanese language experience.

First year applicants also have the option of joining the Crossover Advanced Program (CAP) which enables selected students in either of the bachelor degree programs above to follow an advanced, specialized course of study in one of the following areas:
Tourism and Hospitality, Health, Environment and Life Sciences, International Strategic Studies, Information and Communications Technology (ICT), Language and Cultural Studies.
