Ah, now, Alex, you are quite the musician. (I guess) OK, so what instruments do you play?
I play the cello. The sax, alto saxophone, and a little bit of the base guitar.
Oh, really. Wow! The cello! (Yeah) Wow, that's quite a difficult instrument.
Yeah it is. It's very, it's difficult, but once you get the hang of it, it's quite easy.
So, cello is like a big violin, right? (Ah, yeah!) for laymen like me.
Yeah, it's like a big violin.
OK, so when you were younger, why did you choose the cello?
I have no idea. Um, I think, fourth grade, there were a bunch of high school students that came to
my school, and they sort of demonstrated all the instruments to see if we wanted to play any, and the cello
just seemed to, I don't know, it just piqued my interest.

OK, um, and the sax?
The sax, well, actually I started that my senior year. I decided to just go ahead and do marching band,
partly because I could go on the band trip to Florida in the spring, so yeah, it's a lot of fun.
OK, some people listening might not even know what a bad trip is. What's a band trip?
A band trip is, well a marching band, for football games
(Yeah) during the halftime break, they'll be you
know, you need something to sort of entertain the crowd
(Yeah) so a marching band will just get out and
march around and play some music, and it's a lot of fun, but a band trip is when a marching band goes to
a certain city or a place and competes in a marching band competition.

OK, so that sounds like a lot of fun. (It's OK.) And you also play the base guitar?
Ah, yes sir. Not a lot, but I can tool around on it.
OK, of the three instruments, which one is your favorite?
I'd say the sax. Yeah, I say that because I'm actually in a Jazz band in college, and there's just, I've
never done Jazz band before. There's just a lot of freedom, with, there's a lot of freedom just playing
in general, cause compared to orchestra in high school you were like, you had to play the right notes
and you know, it doesn't sound right if you don't play the right notes, but Jazz it really doesn't matter,
if you play the right notes or if you don't play the right notes, as long as you just, you know you just
have to sort of feel the music and you just play it and if it's wrong, nobody really cares. It's a lot of fun.
