Version 4 |
Slide Show | Slide Quiz | Audio Notes |
Version 4 listening activities improve on Version 3 by adding images to help students follow the audio as well as by allowing the view to select mutlitple answers on the quiz. Version 4 also intruduces Audio Notes, which are simple audio explanations of key phrases and words from the text. Many of the words and phrases are vocabulary items students can not find in a dictionary and can only be answered by a teacher or native speaker. |

Version 33 |
Slide Show | Slide Quiz | Text Page |
Version 3 introduces both the slide show and slide quiz, which allows the viewer to play the audio in the browser and answer questions at intervals throughout the audio. These files are also game-based (or task-based) in that the viewer must get the answers correct to reach the end of the audio. |

Interviews |
Version 2 |
Text Page | Higher Quality Audio |
Version 2 currently only offers the text page, but overall it does have higher quality audio than Version 1. There is a plan to add flash files to these activities soon. |

Interviews |
Version 1 |
Text Page | Quiz |
Version 1 offers the original audio from the first version on elllo when there was one interview for every day of the month. These activities are less interactive than more curent versions but are there are many good interviews that are interesting to listen to and fun to read as well. They also contain a quiz to check comprehension.
The audio from 1 to 200 is lower quality audio. This audio is good for people who need to practice phone English.
