Future with Going to

Todd: What are you going to do for summer break?
Katie: I’m going to study Spanish in Spain?
Todd: Nice, where are you going to study?
Katie: I’m not going to take any classes. I’m just going to live there and learn the language.
Todd: Good idea. You’re going to learn a lot.
Katie: I hope so. I’m going to really focus on learning Spanish naturally. Every day I’m going to try to talk to as many people as I can.

be + going to + base verb
We use this structure, going to , to talk about future plans or intentions.

The words going to is often spoken as gonna in natural speech. Normally, we do not use this form in written English.
