Hello, my name is Gareth and I'm from England and my question is do you listen to the radio or podcasts?
I listen to podcasts on my way to work and I very rarely listen to the radio. I listen to podcasts because I can pause and stop when I have to change from a bus to a train. I can then resume when I get on to the train from where I paused. So it's very convenient. Radio, on the other hand, you can't really pause it live so I very rarely listen to the radio.
The podcasts which I like and I listen to the most these days are Adam & Joe which is actually a radio show in England. It's broadcast live but then recorded and they cut out the music and they condense it down and release it as a podcast through iTunes and that's pretty funny and it's a good representation of British comedy. And I also listen to two American podcasts, one is called This American Life and it's pretty interesting. It's about American people and their theme each week changes and it's very general, food, music, stuff like that and the third podcast I listen to the most is Radio Lab and that's a podcast, it's an American podcast about science and it's really easy to understand. It's not very technical and also like American Life they have interesting stories and they kind of talk about it in a scientific way and it's very interesting.
The more you listen, the faster you improve!
