Hi, I'm Elise, and I'm going to talk about the weather and festivities in Peru.

In January, it's summer and lots of people go to the beach at the coast. Children are on summer holiday. In February, they celebrate carnival by throwing lots of water balloons at each other. In March, children go back to school. In April, they celebrate Easter with some really delicious special breads. In May, lots of tourists start coming to Peru, and it's quite cold because it's almost winter.

In June, there are a lot of religious festivities. One of the most important ones is called in Inti Raymi, and this happens in Cusco. In July, they celebrate Independence Day at the end of the month. In August, children have two weeks of holiday again. In September, there aren't many festivities, and winter is almost over.

In October, there's a very important religious festival called Lord of the Miracles. It's biggest in Lima. In November, it starts heating up a little bit, and the rainy season sometimes starts in the mountains and in the jungle, too. In December, it's definitely the rainy season and children start looking forward to their summer holiday.
