Good Answer

B1 Intermediate Listening and Grammar Course

Don't Be a Deer in the Headlights

You know the feeling: someone asks you a question, and you freeze. You don't hear it clearly, or you just can't get the words out fast enough. It's embarrassing — especially when your English is actually pretty good, but in that moment, the other person assumes it isn't.

Good Answer trains you to respond quickly, in real time, with no chance to prepare. You only hear the question — you can't read it — so you build the same kind of fast, on-the-spot listening and response skills native speakers use every day.

Three Levels, Your Choice

Each level plays five questions with 8 seconds to respond, but how you respond gets harder as you level up.

  • Easy: Hear the question once, then choose the best multiple-choice answer — based on what actually sounds natural and appropriate, not just grammatically correct
  • Medium: Hear the question repeated, then choose your answer under the same time pressure
  • Hard: No multiple choice — just answer out loud, in your own words. Aim for a perfect score: two responses per question, in 8 seconds, for a perfect 10 across all five questions

Almost no textbook trains this skill, and in a classroom with one teacher, there's rarely time for every student to practice it. Good Answer gives you that practice — so next time, you're ready with a good answer, not a deer in the headlights.
