speakerTV! How often do I watch TV? I don't. I don't even own a TV. I think TV is pretty much a waste of time. It's an addiction that people can't quit, so I don't TV. I don't even own a TV, but the ironic thing is that is that one of my jobs is making television documentaries.

speakerHow much TV do I watch? I do watch a lot of TV. I like to watch it for the news to see what's happening around the world and in my own town. I also like to watch DVDs on our TV as it's a large TV so it is very good to watch DVDs. And I also like some of my favorite crime scene investigation programs. They are very good to watch as well.

We waste time when we spend it doing things that are not useful or of benefit to us now or in the future.  Notice the following:

  1. Playing computer games is a waste of time.
  2. I think Facebook is a big waste of time.

serials

I like all these Indian serials.

Here, a serial is a TV show that is a continuous story broadcast in many parts.  Notice the following:

  1. I enjoy TV serials.
  2. TV serials are the same in every country.

crime scene

My favorite crime scene investigation.

A crime scene is the place where a crime, usually a murder, occured.  Notice the following:

  1. Dad's's a big fan of crime scene serials.
  2. The police secured the crime scene.

soap operas

I watch a lot of soap operas.

Soap Operas are much the same as serials described above.  The term 'soap opera' however, is an American phrase.  They are usually on TV during the day.  Notice the following:

  1. Mom's busy watching her favorite soap opera.
  2. For me, soap operas are really boring.

sitcoms

I also like sitcoms.

The word sitcom means situation comedy.  It is used to describe comedy TV programs.  Notice the following:

  1. What's your favorite sitcom?
  2. There are a lot of funny sitcoms out now.
